We wandered around Old City after a quick visit to the LOVE statue in Dilworth Park for Danielle and Tim’s engagement photography session. It’s amazing what you can capture within just a four or five block radius, especially when you’ve got two lovebirds with you full of laughter and smiles. We got creative at some different spots, taking in both the urban setting that surrounded us and also finding ways to make Philly look like…well, not entirely Philly. One of the highlights, or at least funny memories, from the day was when Danielle accidentally hit the car alarm while her and Tim were doing a quick outfit change. “Hey everyone, we’re naked!” she joked after getting out of the car. Priceless.
Can’t wait till their wedding later this year, as I’m sure more lighthearted moments and laughter will abound.

I always love capturing other fellow healthy food enthusiasts - and Emily is definitely one of them! I was fortunate to try several of her delicious recipes, cooked up for the purposes of this shoot. Yum. Emily is a health coach and yoga teacher living and operating out of Philadelphia. On the side, she runs a food blog entitled Nourishing Matters. It was great to pull elements of all of these areas into one brand photography shoot.

I always love lifestyle shoots and the opportunity to draw
out the natural emotion of the person in front of the camera. It’s always
a fun creative challenge to location scout and also to work within limited
spaces. This series was all shot near Waterworks in the Fairmount neighborhood
of Philadelphia. It’s incredible what you can learn to do with small natural
spaces in larger urban places. A shout-out goes out to Bina, who one would never guess has no modeling experience. A pleasure to capture.

Does anything spell out love better than a picnic? Luke surprised Amber with a charcuterie and cheese plate for a great start to this engagement photography session. Afterwards, we wandered around to some iconic Philly spots, just steps away from where they had their first kiss by the banks of the Schuylkill River. I loved laughing it up with these two goofballs who are full of smiles and jokes. Congrats Amber & Luke - so excited for you two!

Pregnancy brings out radiance, which was so clearly true of Ashley. I loved the natural feel of this maternity shoot, alongside the autumn backdrop which is just beginning to come into its prime. Wishing Ashley and Eric the best as they see their way to their expected delivery date in January.

Lindsay and Ari traveled from Brooklyn to be wed at the beautiful Terrain. Both were super laid-back, so clearly in love, and an absolute joy to capture. I loved sharing in their special wedding day.
Florals were designed by Debbie Matlack and hair and makeup were completed by Emily Alice.

What I loved about shooting Leigh and Jared’s wedding was that the two weren’t afraid to get a little silly, and neither was their bridal party. Jokes, laughter, and funny faces overflowed, all in good spirits throughout the day and night. Leigh and Jared got married at Power Plant Productions in Philadelphia. Hair and makeup by Alexandra Jenkins of Taffeta Designs, and florals by Offshoots.
Wishing Leigh and Jared all the love they expressed on their wedding day for years to come!

Emily & Anthony’s engagement photography session was a blast. Together, we wandered around Philadelphia, stopping off at some of their favorite spots like Rival Brothers (where Anthony ordered a yummy peach bourbon ice cream sandwich) and through the scenic city streets surrounding Fitler Square. As the session progressed, we ventured to the abandoned train tracks at the Reading Viaduct to snap a few early evening photos. It was here that Emily kicked off her shoes (without hesitation), and the courageous couple climbed up one of the Viaduct’s bridges. At the top, they shared in what may have been the most majestic kiss of the day. It was a fun session to shoot, and I can wait until this sweet couple’s wedding early next year at Terrain!

Anna & Dave had a true pre-wedding Fishtown experience. The guys relaxed at La Colombe while the girls got ready at Anna and Dave’s house just a few blocks up the street. Afterwards, we ventured around the neighborhood to spots such as the Bicycle Stable and underneath the classic Market-Frankford El, before heading to JG Domestic at the Cira Centre. Anna and Dave were a joy to work with, and also proved to be experts on the dance floor. Not afraid to get a little silly, these two created a super fun experience for everyone who attended. Dave rocked out in Batman socks the entire wedding while Anna slid into some white Converses for the reception. Together, they snuck to the upstairs of JG Domestic to close out the night with a casual chest bump and one last dreamy view of the city.
