Asheville Photographer: Couples and Pet Portrait Photography
When Caitlin and Kyle asked if they could include their dog, Olive, in their couples photography session, my answer was a resounding “yes”. A furry companion can add to any couples, anniversary, or engagement photography shoot, creating an extra element of playful fun.
Although a bit (or maybe a lot, hah!) high-energy, Olive was such a sweetheart and created some truly precious moments. We did a lot of moving poses to help run out some of Olive’s energy and capture photos that felt natural. I also incorporated a few pet portraits into the shoot and plenty of candid moments. I love how the full gallery turned out.
We chose Mountain Bailey Preserve for the location for this photoshoot. Nestled in the heart of Western North Carolina, this Mars Hill spot is one of my favorites for its rolling hills and wide-open fields. It’s absolutely perfect for couples and families who want to bring their pets along for photos, or who just want a nearby location to Asheville. I love the different shades of blue and other wintery hues you get from the mountains in the backdrop, and I’m looking forward to returning here for future photo sessions.
